Anything Cool to Do in Memphis?

Hi All,

About to take my second business trip to Memphis this year. Last time I got some good advice from MScott and hit Rendezvous and Beale Street. I plan to do that again, but since I'll be there for three days this time (and dealing with a client issue that might take all of an hour, but that's for another thread ) I'd love any other suggestions. I heard there's a pretty good civil rights museum? I'm also thinking about Ballet Memphis? Anyone ever been?

I am staying downtown at the Madison, very psyched for that. Lovely hotel.

Would love tips from this board's beautiful southern belles (pity the Yankee here, but if you ever come north to NYC, I am more than happy to help )

Did you visit Sun Records last time?

I'd have to go to Graceland if I went to Memphis. I read the serious Elvis bio a couple years ago (two volumes -- Last Train to Memphis and ???) and couldn't pass up seeing it. My dh, on the other hand, says it's one of the last places he would ever want to go. My mother-in-law's friend used to visit there when she was a little girl ("Grace" was her aunt). She says it was very tastefully decorated then -- I think Elvis fixed that!
