Anything better than the 4/3 discount?

Are there any discounts or promos that would beat the 4/3 deal (including DDP) for June, 2009?

If you have AAA they have a sale right now. Not sure of exact savings but the website promises savings of "up to" 40% on accomodations plus $25 gift card.

Well, the 'special' they adverstise on that link is $1124 for a 3 night value in value season. The rack rate for the same trip is $1286.30. The difference is 15% which is the standard AAA discount during value season for a value resort. The "up to 40% off" is probably them just applying the 4/3 discount if your trip qualifies. Remember, they are a travel agent and can apply the same discounts you can by calling disney direct or going online.

That doesn't sound like a good deal to me. We are paying a little over $1400 for 2 adults and 2 children at Pop for 7 nights. Sounds like the 4-3 deal is better then.

I just finished booking our spring break trip using the 4/3 discount--I am flying high because I never thought I'd be able to travel to Disney so inexpensively. We are a military family of 5, so typically it's much cheaper for us to stay off-site and buy our tickets at Shades of Green. (We stayed in two standard rooms at Port Orleans last year but I went crazy eating Disney food the whole time and no kitchen--I NEED a kitchen.) I've spent the past week reviewing off-site housing (All-Star Vacation Homes is great), then decided to check the 4/3 discount because of things I read on another site. The end result is that my family is staying in a Fort Wilderness cabin and saving over $1000, with 7 day tickets instead of the 4-day tickets I usually buy. It was cheaper using this discount than buying discounted military tickets and staying off-site. Less room, but a safe Disney atmosphere for my kids to run around on their own (youngest is 10). And all the on-site perks.

Renting DVC points can be a great deal. We are either going to stay at CSR on our next trip or rent points for a stay at the AKL. The renting of points I do believe is going to be the best deal. Getting a studio in Jambo for $100 a night would be great.
