Anyplace to get a picture with the "beast"?

DD (2) is obsessed with the Beast from Beauty and the Beast. I plan on taking her to the show at DS and we are scheduled for the Princess Breakfast at Norway to see Belle.

But is there anywhere to have a pic taken with the Beast? We'll be there in September.

We've seen beast in front of France, on a pathway along the water (in the shade). Check the guide for times and/or ask a cast member if Beast will be available. CMs can call "somewhere" and find out.

Thanks for asking this question and for the great answers, my son just told me at dinner last night he would like to get his pic taken with the Beast. I didn't even think about France, I was hoping he might be at the MNSHHP. Thanks for the tips!

We were lucky to find him this January in Epcot - He & Belle were together right outside the France Pavillion. I'm not sure if he's a regular - but you may check when you get there!

We have also seen him at Epcot in France. We've not seen him at MNSSHP, but maybe someone else has and can let you know.

Be careful that you have your flash on (or that it works automatically) in the perfume shop. I've had two differnt pictures with both of them where you can barely see Beast, he takes up so much space that he blocks out the light from the awesome stained glass window.

I'm so glad you asked this. He is one of my fav's too. I want a pic that I am hugging him and holding up my hand to Belle,like "back off, He's mine!" I know they probly wouldn't allow me ,but I would love it. Please let us know if your daughter get's to meet him. I hope she does. Have a great trip.

I'm glad others have shared their pictures with you. As you can see, Beast is HUGE! Prepare your two year old. He was DS's favorite when he was about seven or eight, but even he took a step back when he saw the size of Beast!

And I think you'll be able to give the big guy a hug, IwovMickey!

In October 2004 we saw Belle & Beast in France also. They were outside behind the perfume store. Beast was very good with the small children who were intimidated by his massive size. If they they seemed to be afraid of him, he would walk away while they met with Belle.

This is a VERY good point. I was on a Beast hunt in May when I took a few hours while DD was in school to go to EPCOT solo- one of my main reasons to find Beast. He was still "washing dishes from breakfast that Belle had left him in Norway (so the CM was telling the kids) - and there was a family with two very sweet kids. The boy was flirting with Princess Aurora who was greeting at the time, and the little girl (2ish) wanted NOTHING to do with the Princess - she wanted Beast. Her parents said she had talked of nothing else on their trip. When he walked out the gates, I was standing next to the little girl, and I could hear her gasp. She was very very unsure of hime and it took her some time to warm up enough to get close enough for a picture!

I hope to get a pic of him with Belle the next time we are back in France, however, this day Belle must have been at the library or the spa or something - she was nowhere to be found!

We, too, have seen him in the little courtyard area behind the purfume shop in France at Epcot. We happened upon Belle out there by herself, and I had my picture with her (taken by my DH). Belle asked me if he was my beast, and I laughed and said yes, but where was hers? She said he would be out in about a half hour, so we wandered for a little while and then went back. Sure enough, about 5 minutes after we arrived, out came Belle and Beast - Belle remembered us and said, "Thank you so much for waiting!" It was really nice. Beast kept trying to look at my pins on my lanyard, but his paws are SO BIG! I was just amazed at the size of him...let's see if I can get this thing to let me insert a picture....

We also met the Beast and Belle in France in Epcot. I'd post the picture but don't know how . We actually knew they were coming out b/c a helpful CM told us so we just waited there for about 10 minutes. And when they came out there shockingly wasn't many other people around and since we were waiting our DS and DD got to hang out and play with Beast for a few minutes. Our DS who was 4 at the time had a blast b/c him and Beast kept hi-fiving each other.

Belle and the Beast do appear regularly behind the perfume shop. Just ask the CM there for their schedule. My DD loves Belle. One trip she went a few times to see her. On the third trip, Belle addressed her by her first name! She told beast oh look ____ is back. It's so good to see you again!

My DD has decided she likes Beast and (I think, she may change her mind again ) wants to give him a hug. Why does she want to give him a hug? Because when Beast feels loved he isn't so mean and is kind of nice and a hug will help make him feel loved. Up until the other day she didn't want anything to do with Beast (kept telling me she wanted to meet Belle, but NOT Beast!) because he was so "mean and grumpy"....and plain just "not nice, mom"
