Anyones dog acted this way

We had our five yr. old female Siberian Husky spayed two weeks ago and since we have brought her home she seems more protective of our house and our family. Before she was spayed anyone could knock on the door and come in & she would just lick them all over but now she barks & seriously checks the person out before she will go nuts over them. Has anyone else noticed this type of behavior in their dog. It does not bother me that she's doing it, it's just unexpected.
