Anyone work P/T at WM? or know this answer

My DH is gonna work part time at Wal-mart for a while to help us get caught up in bills. Does anyone know if he will get any discounts? We have a super Wm so we tend to get groceries and everything there. With the holidays coming up every little bit saved really help out. TIA

When I worked there we got a 10% discount. That was almost fifteen years ago, though.

I was just watching a dave ramsey show and someone wrote in...

I know that after 1 year, you might get some benefits, I'm not sure if the discount was immediate or not. It is still offered though. I just cannot remember what the writer said (they were a PT WM employee.)

Unless its changed recently its 10% on all non grocery items (excluding clearance)

So basically takes off the tax

You will get 10% off everything you buy there.

Also, sometimes at Christmas, they will let you buy one big ticket item like a TV, computer, etc. for 20% off.

DH worked there a few years ago, but it was full time. His health insurance benefits kicked in after 90-days I believe it was.

And he had stock option, which he took advantage of.
