Anyone work from home?

Not sure if this belongs here but does anyone out there work from home and if so, how did you get started? Do you work for a local company that allows you to work from home? I want to do something from home but I'm a single parent so I need to bring home at least $350-$400/week. I don't want to do selling/parties. I've always done administrative assistant work. Now that my kids are in/starting school, I'm finding it harder to cover getting them on and off the bus and summer/school breaks. Any ideas?

Hmmmm...I work from home, but in an unusual job (I'm an author). Have you thought of giving medical billing a try? A friend of mine years ago used to make decent money doing that.

I have worked from home for 16 years now as my 4 children have been growing up. I have a family day care, it pays very well where I am as there is a real shortage. It has worked great for me and even though all my own kids are in school now I am going to continue to do it (it is actually a lot easier without any of my own kids). Even just 2 kids a day could get you the money you need.
I hope you find something that works well for you.
