Anyone with opinions on Sandals Resorts vs Club Med?

OK, I realize most people here vacation at WDW the most. But Has anyone had experiences at both of these all inclusive resorts? I did a trip to a Sandals resort and absolutely loved it. But last night someone told me Sandals is a rip off compared to Club Med. Any opinions? Thanks!

We stayed at the Sandals Royal Bahamian and LOVED it! My dd just informed us she wants to go to beaches. I found Sandals to be exactly what they advertised. Never been to Club Med.

We went to Sandals Dunn's River in Jamaica. We loved it. It rated really high when I looked it up on Expedia.

I've never been to club med, but I've heard them described by people who have been to both as pick up places with bad drinks. They also said the food at Sandals was far superior to that of Club.

I've been to Sandals Ocho Rios, and Sandals St Lucia *new name now, forgot what it is* We loved both, though would go back to Jamaica instead of St Lucia if we were to go again.

We've been so Sandals Grande St Lucian, Sandals Royal Bahamian, Sandals Whitehouse (Jamaica) and Beaches Turks and Caicos 3 times. We have our next Beaches trip booked for the end of this year. Sandals resorts are the way to go!! I've never been to Club Med but I've heard similar things to what the previous poster wrote. I don't think Sandals resorts are a rip off at all. My husband dives and everytime we're at a Sandals/Beaches he dives A LOT and that's all included with the price! We've always felt that we got what we paid for, sometimes even more than what we paid for! (we've been upgraded quite a bit!)

Thanks...this is what I thought. It was a new nurse who knocked Sandals...a "know it all". My son is getting married next year and we are looking at a Sandals honeymoon.

I myself have been to Sandals Dunns River and Ocho Rios. Loved it very much, felt we definitely got our moneys worth. I have never been to Club Med, but one of my best friends did go. She was very dissapointed in pretty much everything, especially the rooms/food/pools and activities. My money is on Sandals.

I've known quite a few people who have gotten married at Sandals, they have all had a wonderful time!!

As a matter of fact, when we were just at the Royal Bahamian the end of November we saw 3 weddings. SO beautiful!!
