Anyone with experience on the two slides at CBR?

From pictures and video, I see that one of the two slides at CBR is enclosed. Are people able to sit up? Or must they lay down to go through the enclosed slide?

Also, I read that one slide is longer than the other. Is the enclosed slide the longer one or is the open slide the longer one?

Finally, how would you rate the fun factor for each of the two main slides at CBR? Is one better than the other? I am asking for a dare-devil 8 year old.

Thanks!

The enclosed slide is the one in the "fort". It is the longer of the two. My DD10 last year sat up in it (9 at the time) but I didn't. It's hard to tell how tall you can be with easily sitting up going down. It is your typical dark enclosed twisty slide and a lot of fun for kids who love water slides.

The other one is outside and much, shorter, but still kind of fun! I can't remember exactly how to describe it, but more fun than just a short little slide into the pool.

DD loved doing both, she kept coming back to the smaller slide after multiple times on the larger one, so it must have still had some fun factor.

I think your 8yo would love both as well as the rest of the pool, it's one of our favorites!

How deep is the pool where the slides end? Thank you.

The fort slide is longer and the more exciting of the two. It has a fully enclosed portion. Be aware that it is really dark!

I stayed there 2 summers ago with DS who was 8 at the time. He preferred the other side...it is sort of an L shape, open all the way, but still pretty fun. I think he didn't like the darkness of the other slide, and he preferred the easier access and shorter wait time to use the 2nd slide.

The water is probably 5 feet deep at the end of each of the slides...I remember just barely being able to touch and keep my face above water. (I'm 5'6".)
