Anyone with any experience with ocular rosacea?

I've developed rosacea on my cheeks and now it is affecting my eyes. Apparently this happens in about half of all cases. My eye doctor tells me that there isn't really treatment for it. It's just something that you have to learn to manage. Well, my eyes are so itchy all of the time! I can live without ever wearing contact lenses again, but how do I deal with this constant itch?
