Anyone with a french door fridge that has held up for 4 years?

We have one and love it! A tip if you want the stainless look. Samsung has a color called platinum (other company may as well) looks just like stainless without all the finger prints! We have it and so much better than the rest of our stainless appliances! Also we don't have the in door ice and water dispenser. There is a filtered water dispenser in the refrigerator and the ice is in the freezer, saved a few bucks on that! :thumbsup2:

We have a French Door fridge, freezer on the bottom, that we've had for over 4 years (bought when we moved into new house.) It's held up fine, had absolutely NO issues with it since we've had it. I'll have to look up the maker when I get home, but I know we bought it at Lowes. We honestly just choose the cheapest stainless steele french door fridge, on sale at the time, so we weren't shopping for a "top of the line" brand at the time or anything!

We've had a Samsung for about 3 years. My parents have had their Samsung for about 4.5 years. I love mine.

As for Kenmore, that is just a name, the actual manufacturer varies-some are GE, LG, Whirlpool, etc. You have to research the model number. There are sites that you can find out what your Kenmore actually is.

We have a Samsung also and love it:)

We have a Samsung with the dual icemakers. (I think the dual icemaker is only available at Lowes.) We love the in the drawer icemaker with the scoop as we use a lot of ice and I love scooping it into the glasses or coolers. We use the in the door icemaker mostly for crushed ice. I also love the way you can slide the partial shelf for tall items.
My friend bought the Kenmore and has fridge envy.
I am a diehard Maytag/Jennair customer and my dh persuaded me to get the Samsung.... glad he did.

We have a standard depth stainless steel Frigidaire that's 12 years old and still going strong. Also still have the matching stove and microwave. We did have to replace the dishwasher last year, though.

I have a Fridgidare I've had since June of 2004 that's still plugging along just fine. Course the Fridgidare stove and dishwasher that were part of the package are both gone.

Ok, well I don't have the French door style, but I do agree with the person that said people typically do reviews when things go wrong and they are mad. I do think if you see a lot of negative reviews on one brand, then stay away. that said...I have a KitchenAid side by side that is 9 years old and still great. When it goes I am interested in the French door style as well. Would buy KitchenAid again...if it has the features that I am looking for.

I have had the same Kenmore side by side for 14 years and have no plans to replace it as it runs perfectly

I've had the Electrolux french door fridge for 2 years and I HATE it. I would never recommend this fridge to anyone (damn u Kelly Ripa...LOL). I've had to have it repaired 3 times in a little over a year. Plus the fridge area has no room.

We have a 7.5 year old LG with French doors on top, drawer freezer on bottom, counter depth. Can't remember what we paid, but it was not a crazy amount. We've had no issues with it at all.

My GE french door is not even a year old and I would not buy one again.

It is smaller than my last side by side...or it seems I can't get as much food in it. That side by side was a GE also.

Also, big problems with the doors not closing all the way, and when we leave for work, the food spoils. We have to double and triple check that the door is closed COMPLETELY....otherwise you think it's closed but it's not.

Not a functioning issue but more of a design issue.
