Anyone wear your magic band on a lanyard or other non-wrist method?

First trip with magic bands coming up...just curious if anyone has tried a lanyard or carry your magic band in a different way other than wearing on your wrist? Haven't received them yet but I'd like a few options for the kids when they come. I don't think anyone will have a problem with them on the wrist but you never know...

Thanks!!

They sell these new "magic band keepers" to clip on that hold you band for you. I havent used them yet but I may get them for the kids next trip. They get sick of wearing them after a little while.

Mine is "worn" on my handbag or backpack strap. I don't like the way they look or feel, and having it looped onto whatever bag I'm carrying makes it easy to scan.

Where or what do they clip on? Do you clip it to clothing, backpack etc?

I have seen really small kids with them around their ankle, then the parent would just lift up the kid and scan the band.... I don't quite understand that I would think that'd be a pain but I guess it could prevent the child from easily pulling it off on their wrist. Or maybe it wouldn't bother the child as much on the ankle.

I have never worn my MagicBand. Ever. It just goes into my bag and I pull it out when I need it. If I don't take a bag, a pocket will do.

My camera is always with me so the MagicBand goes on the strap for the camera or camera bag.

If it's not at the bottom of my bag, this is what I do. Or I loop it through my shorts, depending on if that's what I'm wearing.

I don't wear mine either...I just throw in my "cinch" style back pack. I really only need it to get in and a few rides. My husband doesn't mind wearing his..
So if we charge something we usually just use his. No more work than just getting a wallet out in the old days lol. Which is basically no work at all.

This. I usually wear my Disney fanny pack (I know...) and I just hook it around the strap of that.

I tried putting Magic Band on lanyard. Made it much easier to get the right part of the band to touch post, thing in elevator for club level, thing to open door, etc. Unfortunately, it was not comfortable to have the band hitting against me with every step i took.

Put mine on my key chain. First, cut off all the wrist strap part, just keeping the "bump" in the middle. That's where the RFC is for your tickets, FP, etc. The rest of the band is the antenna for the tracking Disney does of you for marketing, but you don't need it for anything you're doing. Then you have a great, small (about the size of 2 quarters stacked) unit that you can put in your pocket (or on a keychain as we do), and you just hold it up against the reader. Really much easier than twisting your wrist sometimes to get to the reader.
