I Sky+ the making of Hogfather show on Sunday and watched it last night. It looks really good ~ sort of a Harry Potter kind of thing. Just the sort of programme I like in the run up to Christmas.

Anyone else going to give it a go?

DH has reread the book in preparation!

I will be giving it a go, I adore David Jason but have never read to book so am unfamiliar with the story.

Am worried about the Harry Potter type of theme though, it could confuse Gavin no-end when we watch the next Harry Potter film

I'm the same but I'm going to give it a go :thumbsup2

I love the book , love most of Terry Pratchett anyway, and am very jealous that you lot are getting it. I saw the article in SFX magazine and it looks good.

I'm going to sky+ it , However I am worried that Sky will spoil it with logos and pop up adverts in the corner every 5 minutes.

:thumbsup2 ABSOLUTELY Terry Pratchett is only my all time favourite author ever :lmao: I personally can't wait for it we've been promised a Discworld film for many years only to have a couple of the books made into animated films which were released on video (how long ago??)
I have every "Discworld " book he's had published all 1st editions and that's a lot of books people!!! He's been writing far longer than J K Rowling and several others I can think of and he's very insightful I love the way he works :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes My DH has spent many a long weekend putting up with my head stuck in a Pratchett book laughing to myself to the point of tears rolling down my face as I read. In fact he's been so fascinated he's even read a few himself to find out what's so funny and been surprised too :thumbsup2
We also have several ornaments of some of the Discworld characters and the shields of the Assassins Guild etc. I have a big " Death on Binky" and the dutch actor playing Death really does the part justice.I've even dusted off the silver "Death" ring I own, purchased from the collectors club about 13 years ago....a lovely bunch of people :goodvibes
I really do hope that some more of these stories get made into films they are to me soooo much better than "Harry Potter" but hey that's just MHO.
Can't wait to record it on SkyHD and hope that everyone else enjoys it as much as I will.. hey you can always join the collectors club too . :cloud9: :cloud9:

Another Terry Pratchett fan here, the Hogfather is my favourite book. I just love Albert and the death of rats!
