Anyone watching American Idol Juniors?

I have and have heard some really good voices. The judges are Aretha Franklin, Justin Guirini and some woman I don't know. Justin and the other judge seem to take after Paula Abdul in the comments area but Aretha has given some good, constructive criticism. Nothing negative but when the child needs to be told something other than "you are great" she tell them. Like one girl she told that she needed to work with a voice coach on control and she told a boy that she liked his voice but the song choice was not good. Things like that, but it didn't cut the child down.

Yes we've been watching the show too and I'm really amazed at the talent these kids show! And thank goodness Simon's not on the judging panel!

I think this show will see a lot of teens and pre teens calling in for their favourite singers. Great stuff.

The other judge is Deborah Gibson aka Debbie Gibson, who was a teen singer back in the 80s and now does Broadway, I believe. I too am glad that the judges give constructive remarks and aren't too harsh on the kids. It will be interesting to see how they (and their parents) handle it tonight for the ones that don't move on.

I felt bad for the kids who got cut. I know that's just a part of show business but most auditions don't take place on national tv. Hopefully, they'll handle it just fine.

I thought the judges were too nice. It will not make for a very interesting show if they can't give constructive criticism when warranted. It seemed like Justin and Deborah had the very same comments for every child.

IMHO... the kid who sang Sting was just horrible! And the only thing Gladys said was "poor song choice???" Does anyone know if that kid was cut tonight? I mean... cute, yes... talent, no. And the over-confident girl who said she never is nervous was also not very good.

Well they're little kids, I think the judges kind of have to be nice, so as to not break their little kiddie hearts ...

But I was disappointed that the one little girl, Christinina, didn't get voted through, she was really good. Those little ones can sing!

I thought that kid was horrible too! He was cute and seemed to have a good personality but his singing wasn't great. I thought his mother was VERY into his performance, more so than other parents with their children. I think he got cut last night.

I've only seen the show twice, last night and the night before. I didn't think Chauncy (I'm pretty sure that's his name, he was the last kid to be picked) was good and I thought Christenina (sp?) should have been chosen.

I didn't get to see last nights show either. Does anyone remember what song Christianna sang? That might help me place her in my mind. I personally liked the Justin G. look-a-like, the girl that sang Colors of the Wind, the boy that sang the song from Alladin, the boy that sang Isn't She Lovely, the girl that sang To Sir With Love and the last girl that sang. Was Christianna one of those?

I wonder if there is a web site that we could go to that would show their faces. I'm sure that there is.

From watching the show from the beginning, looks seemed to be a big factor. In one of the shows, they mentioned that learning the songs and dances fast was important.

All the kids were not great, but it's amazing that they have the nerve to sing in front of all those people!

I can not believe it! I thought for sure that Kristinia, Grace and Julie were gonna make it....they were all better than AJ and Chauncey.
I watched all the auditions and everything.....
I was really surprised........

My heart just breaks for the kids who got cut. They are all quite talented, which makes the show good. I think that AJ Menendez and the girl who sang Colors of the Wind might even make it into the final group.

Now I know who Kristinia is. Thanks for the web site. She was good. But just like in American Idol, the contestants are at the mercy of the voters.
