Anyone want to take a guess at Southwest pricing when they open tomorrow?

Hmmm… my laptop and my "atomic" clock both say it's 6am on the east coast (as does my sleep deprived brain!); c'mon, Southwest, open!!! I need to book some flights!

Waiting...I hope they come out soon I have to leave for work in 30 min.

Their travel tools page says they are accepting reservations through Oct 31st... but they are lying.

Ugggh, I am also waiting!:sad2:

I just called SW, they are still be loaded. She couldn't give me a time. I have waited as late as 11am for this one 2 years ago.

Roundtrip-$301.00 per person. More than I expected. I remember paying $89.00 each way. Yipes!!

Wickedly high airfare from the Portland, Maine! However, I am stuck with what it is, because I am (a) flying on points, and (b) stuck with specific travel days. However, I'll go in and modify as things go on sale. I "paid" 20316 points, per person, round trip, for travel from PWM to MCO over Columbus Day weekend. Cash cost would have been $365 per person plus fees. I wanted not just specific days, but specific flights on each day, and I got them, but when I went back in to check, the prices on my flights have already gone up. It's killing me… I only have 106 rapid rewards points left… but at least I am not paying airfare!

C'mon, Southwest, give us a good sale!!

Couldn't get my flight home on my laptop at first but I could get it on my tablet :woohoo: Got $109 one way from Orlando back home to Manchester :yay:

We used to fly from Manchester, and will if we have plenty of time, but we are a 2 hour drive from PWM; it's another two hours to MHT. If we have early morning flights or late evening returns, the extra two hours really make a difference. Still… I envy your fares! However, I am optimistic that SWA will come through with a sale that lets me recapture some of my points. If not? We'll sign up for yet another credit card and get an additional 50000 points!

URG… I just looked and could have saved over 7000 points per ticket, and gotten better flight times, if we'd booked from MHT. Oh well, I will appreciate the much shorter drive to PWM. I'm not going to look at MHT again!

That sounds like a great price ! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Got ours, too! Pfew! I THOUGhT I had my ducks in a row, but as I was about to hit the "purchase now" button my brain remembered we were bumped in December!! I ran to find the luv vouchers, of course the adrenalin was flowing at that point. I am soo glad I remembered !! And could find the things:lmao:

Started the decision process with DW at about 6:30, flights booked, EBCI paid, Airtran seats chosen (yeah, I think it's worth it to me) by 7:00 am.

$135.5 down, $157 back...all inclusive per person. Right in the ballpark of what I was hoping.

Nailed 109.00 to Orlando which was great. Coming home 144.00 (was hoping for a lower rate) as we booked the latest flight which was more. All totaled $253.00-very happy with this!!! Used points to book!

But...DSIL needs to leave days earlier, on a Sunday, and could not get her a non-stop flight. The 3:30 was not available for the wanna get away prices.:confused3She won't change planes (I can't blame her). Had to book a Saturday flight for her for now. I sure hope something opens for her on 8/24:sad2:

I got $109 per person out of DAY nonstop to MCO both flights. :cool1: Excellent times too. We arrive in MCO a little after 1 pm and our returning flight leaves at noon so we don't have too be up too early for ME. I am trying to decide if I should do EBCI. I am flying with my super anxious 11 year old who has Asperger's. I don't think he would do okay sitting alone.

Was online as the dates were released.. in the time it took to book - the return flights had gone up by $50.

$129 from MKE to MCO- pretty happy with that but will watch in case it drops. I miss the days of $79 each way fares. popcorn::

I'm wondering if I might not have been on the ball this morning? I got online at about 6:30 am, and booked our flights from BUF ($246). They were not the *cheapest* flights of the day, although I have noticed that they have gone up since I booked them. Do you think they would have been even cheaper at 6:00 am? This is the first time I've booked right away with Southwest, and am wondering if I should have booked them right as they turned over.

I'm not going to beat myself up about it (we're talking $80 difference for 4 flights), but is there a lesson for me to learn here? :teacher:
