A bunch of us DIS ladies do scrapbook swaps over in the Creative Community/Swaps section. We are making two gift albums for the Make A Wish foundation. One for a boy and one for a girl who are going to go to Disney. We divided up the job and assigned people individual letters for an ABC Disney themed scrapbook that will be a finished full alphabet album. (P=pressed pennies, S= snacks, C=celebrate etc.)

Well my page is letter "V" and the title is suppossed to be "Very Happy". I have an idea and I need a game spinner that I can print out and adhere to the layout. I am soooooooo not tech savvy --at all-- so I'm asking for help if anyone is interested.

Would anyone be willing to design a circle game spinner for me? I need pie shaped sections (like a wheel) with black dividers and different characters who are "very happy looking" in the the sections. Each pie shaped section would also need a word meaning happy in it along with the character picture. For example: Cheshire Cat in a section with the word Delighted.
I don't need an arrow spinner. I bought some that will be attached later and allows the child be able to flip it and land on a character. Just like a real game spinner.
I'd prefer it to be about 4-5 inches in diameter. I don't care how many pie shaped sections there are on it.

So...if you are up for it, I'd love some help. If not, I'll still tackle it on my own with good old scissors and stickers. thanks a ton!

Thanks to Mel (Bababear's) wonderful ideas and clipart...I finished it. Thanks Mel! I hope the colors are okay. If you like it...make sure you save it as I clean out my photobucket weekly to make room for new requests.

Thanks Mel! Mycutiepatooties...if you can...post a pic of the final product. I would love to see how it turns out, and how the game works.

Thank you both sooooooooooooooo much. I love it and it will work perfectly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be sure to give you credit and I'll post a picture of the end product here on this thread too. You are the greatest! Thank you again.

In honor of jtanddolly and babear 50 here is my finished product! Thanks a bunch to you both! This is a post I wrote for the scrapbook ladies in the SWAP section...

Here's my last page girlies! Group B, letter "V" Very Happy.

I had an idea to try to make the layout itself something fun and happy by having a game spinner and game cards. I thought the kiddos might like this especially. The game cards are "tags" with conversation starters on them. Topics for the cards are: Rides, Shows, Parades, Dining, Hidden Mickeys, and Characters. Not sure if you can read the top one in my photo but they ask you to spin and see how you feel when you see your favorite Disney parade (for example). All that you can land on is several different words for "happy" when they spin. Then the cards say to tell someone your fav. parade etc. You get the idea. The tags match each character/colors on the spinner. You can journal your answers to the questions on the back of the tags (Thanks NemoMom for that genius idea!). I sewed a clear page protector pocket on the corner to hold the tags. That way top loading page protector users can just grab the cards easily from the layout w/o removing it all the way. I never machine stitched on a page protector before. It wasn't any different than fabric...so girls it can be easily done.

Two people on the DIS boards Creative DISign section made the spinner for me on the computer. jtanddolly and bababear 50 are the creative minds behind the spinner! A BIG thanks to them!! I thought it turned out super cute.

The spinner arrow can attach through the page protector and be on top of the protector. I'm including clear circle reinforcer stickers for the protectors where you would need to punch a hole through it. Just so it doesn't rip/spread. Creative Memories page protectors are BAD for this IMO.

So I hope you like my attempt at making a "very happy" page. I'll be finishing up the machine stitching today and adhering the game circles then they are FINISHED! Whew!
