We have 3 foot drifts in someplaces around the house. We had 45 mph sustained winds (wouldn't that be tropical storm strength?) and gusts over 55 mph. We didn't lose power, fortunately, but a lot of areas around us did-our powerlines are buried).

We don't do that in the south. We figure if there are three foot snow drifts, that is God's way to telling us to stay home :teeth:

Those are little drifts around here, unless you are shoveling them :rotfl2: . There are 6-8 foot drifts across the roads in the rural areas here according to the State Patrol.

Don't worry , I know you are so nice that you are sending that snow to me this week.....lol

:cool1: wonder if any snow is heading towards IL??????? cool............we love the snow....... be careful out there! :earseek:

OK this makes me really glad we live in NE and I promise not to complain too much when DH is out in all storms working again and I am home alone (he works for the power company). Well at least I will try not to complain too much, lol. Holy moly that much snow is giving me the heebie jeebies!

We FINALLY got a snowblower this year. I just hated seeing poor DH out there shoveling. ;)

Well your DH would be busy here. Our town has power but SD has about 50,000 people without power and there are several towns in western MN without power. Part of the problem they are having in SD is that the trucks can't get to where they need to go.

No more snow for me. I'm enjoying a nice thunderstorm right now. If the rain starts turning white I'll move even further south!

Well, they just called off school for the day, the kids will have PLENTY of time to get it shoveled now.

We had heavy winds here yesterday & 70 degree weather..Gotta love Cincinnati weather...
I hate the cold...brrr...Gonna be in the low 40s today

It is pouring HARD up here in Toronto.

We had 2" of rain before the snow started so we have a nice layer of ICE under all the snow.
