Oh my gosh, my daughter would flip over those Cinderella and Prince Charming costumes for Duffy and Shellie May! We looked at the Emporium on Friday morning and later that day, and did not find any Shellie May clothes there. We did not get back to the Emporium before coming home, but we checked MouseGears a few times after that and never found any clothes. So sorry we missed them. We did find her book.
That is interesting! It sure would seem to make sense that if they are going to try to push her merchandise and see if it does better than Duffy's did that they would set up a meet and greet with her too. It seems odd that if they are giving up on Duffy in the U.S. that they are bringing in Shelly May- I wonder if they are thinking that a girl bear might do better, or if they plan to keep selling both of their stuff- which the Prince Charming outfit would seem to indicate. The Duffy clothes were the most limited that we have ever seen them on this trip, so it sure looks like he is phasing out. My DD carries a Duffy everywhere, so we heard over and over from CMs the first half of our trip that all things Duffy were being discontinued in the U.S- which basically made DD want to buy every Duffy item she found anywhere in the parks.
Starting on Thursday, we kept hearing over and over that Shellie May merchandise and a meet and greet were coming.
