Hello,
We are doing the dolphin encounter and turtle farm excursion in Grand Cayman. I am wondering if anyone that has done this excursion through Disney has also had time to visit Seven Mile Beach afterward? Not sure how long the actual excursion lasts, or how we would even get to the beach and back. We have 3 kids that use car seats, so I don't know how this works with a taxi. (We will not have car seats with us on the ship)
Are there shuttle vans that you can reserve to and from the port, or an afternoon excursion for a beach visit?
Does the dolphin and turtle farm excursion take up the majority of the day and leave no time for anything else?
My biggest concern is being able to get to the beach, but not able to find a way back to the ship. We will be visiting Grand Cayman on a Sunday if that matters.

Thanks.

we did the Turtle Farm and Seven Mile beach in the same day. However, we did the Turtle Farm on our own, not with Disney. And we did not do the Dolphin Encounter. I'm not sure how it would work with Disney because I don't know the timing. On our own, it worked out fine.
we were off the cruise ship early and took a "taxi" from the port to the turtle farm. (Note it wasn't what you would consider a taxi, more of a shuttle bus, and they waited until EVERY LAST seat was filled before leaving). We bought the turtle farm package that included everything (snorkeling lagoon, pools, as well as turtles), and spent probably 3 hours at the turtle farm doing activities, then ate lunch there. We then took a public bus (really more of a mini van) from the turtle farm to Seven Mile beach - both are on the same bus route, and it's really easy. We spent about 2 hrs at the beach, then took a public bus again back to the port, and were onboard roughly an hour before the ship left.
My kids were 2 and 5 and we did not bring car seats. In the "taxi" that we got from the port, you would not have been able to bring a car seat. I'm sure they would not have allowed it. You couldn't even bring a stroller inside - it had to be strapped to the roof. It was so jammed full of people. It was not a private taxi. I'm not sure how you would go about getting a private car taxi. At the port, we followed directions for taxi and that's what we got. And on the public buses, again no car seats.
I'm wondering if it would make more sense for you to go to the Turtle Farm with Disney, but not take their transportation back to the ship. instead take the bus to Seven mile on your own from the turtle farm. It would be cheaper and faster than going all the way back to port.
