We have booked a 5 night stay at Disneyland Hotel to visit friends this summer with our developer points, anyone have any experience at this hotel? We are staying in 1br suite. What are your feelings/experiences here? We may just do 2 days at parks and rest just hanging out. Thank you for any help.:cool1:

We've been in a 1 bdrm suite for one night as that was all that was available for a spur of the moment trip. Ours had a King in the bedroom with a sofa-sleeper in the living area. I believe they also have ones with 2 queens in the bedroom. I don't remember too much about the kitchenette. Unless you go often to DL, I would plan 3-4 days at the parks.

We just got back from a 1bd at GCV for 4 nights. It was great :thumbsup2 . Remember the word at the hotel is that the GRAND stands for guests requests are never denied. The best food is at the hotel itself. The room was in great shape. It had two flat screen LCD screens, free internet, two balconies, and two mini fridges. The room instelf was a lockoff unit with two seperate rooms attached so it could be turned into a 3bd unit. I think there are 3 types of 1bd suites. You can find floor plans on the internet if you do a google search. There's a little more info on my last thread.

Have stayed at the DLH on points twice and loved it both times. We had a room with two queen beds and a day bed that was a twin size bed. It was a very big room so imagine the 1 BR suite will be really nice. There was a small refrigerator which came in handy for keeping wine and sodas cool. Our room overlooked the pool both times. We liked it much better than the GCH room which was small with just the two beds overlooking the fromt driveway. THe GCH hotel is beautiful but the room we had was equivalent of the dumpster view at VWL. They offered a rollaway at the DLH (which we didn't need) but only provided a sleeping bag and floor mat at the GCH. We had two teens different sexes so needed the extra bed as it was myself, my son, my grown daughter and her daughter. We managed with the sleeping bag for the three nights before moving to the DLH for the other 3 nights. We were able to use all three pools at the three hotels so did that just for a change of pace. Walking to DTD is convenient and exploring that area can be fun. We were there for the 50th anniversary celebration the last time so don't know if there have been any changes to pool use policy. Some days we walked to DL and some we took the monorail.
