Okay, I seemed to have run into a little snag.
Here's the situation-my car is constantly breaking down and needing this or needing that. Needless to say because of that, all my credit cards are practically maxed except one.
I was going to use that one for the car rental only to find out today that Budget puts a $200 hold on your credit card at check in. The card only has a $200 limit and I have full use of every penny. The problem is that we are renting a car on the way back too in which case the card will not have enough funds for a $200 hold. Plus I don't want to freeze up $200 for a $37 one day rental. It just doesn't make sense to me.
So I checked with Hertz and they only put a $50 hold which I expected. My only concern is that Hertz won't run as smoothly as I expected Budget to. We are picking the car up @ Sanford and dropping off at the pier 2 days later.
Has anyone used Hertz in this manner? And how did it work for you?
