Anyone use EA Sports Active on the Wii?

I'm thinking of asking for this game for Christmas, but I'm wondering if it's really a good workout? Many online reviews seem to think so, but I also hear a lot of complaints about injuries (particularly to knees and backs). I have a Wii fit, but it's not much of a workout -- just fun.

So if you have EA Active, do you like it? Good, bad? I'd like something to do on cross training days that's both fun and a good workout -- the fact that this is indoors is a big plus with the weather icky now. I'm burned out on most of my exercise DVD's and I'm wondering if I'll suffer burnout with this, too. It's pretty pricey if I'm just going to get bored with it in a month.

Got it recently, but have not had time to play yet. I'm hoping it will be all the fun I've heard.

I bought EA Active shortly after it came out. I loved it and thought it was so much better than Wii Fit.

You will need to get stronger bands as the one it comes with won't give you much of a workout if you are already reasonably fit.

What I liked the most was the 30-day program and great variety it gave me every day I used it. I felt like I got a good workout and definitely felt it everywhere (when using the stronger bands).

The thing it lacked that I liked about the original Wii Fit is the exercises that promoted balance. EA Active is primarily strength training and some cardio which is mostly running in place.

Let me know if you have any other questions about it!

I htink the jumping is a nit much. I woudl program in workouts without that. It is a good workout, though.

Have you tried Wii Fit+? I really like that. EA Active might be a harder work out, though.
