We're heading to see the Mouse in just 16 days (can't wait)! I have a question regarding the upgrading of a ticket to an Annual Pass. We will be upgrading at the MK on day 1 of our trip and have the Disney Vacation Account. Has anyone been able to use the Disney Vacation Account at Guest Services? It's just a credit card number and is usable on-line through MDE to tickets and memory maker.

Hmm, curious myself. My understanding is that it can't be used while you are on your trip just in advance with online or phone purchases. I know it mentions specifically that you can get a gift card issued (up to $500) to use while on your trip. Depending on how many upgrades you need perhaps that would cover it?

I cancelled my DVA and had all my gift cards refunded for this very purpose. As far as I can tell, the DVA will not work in person. People have tried to use the account number like a gift card for room charges at the resort and it did not work. I haven't seen anything specific about Guest Services, but I expect it will be the same.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm going with plan B just to be safe. Target offers me 5% discount on the gift cards so I will buy the gift cards ahead of time (enough to cover the upgrades) and take them with me to the gate. Unless, there is a limit to the number of gift cards in a transaction. Anyone know?

I am planning on trying this in April. I need to add extra days to 2 day base tix. I Have made a note of this thread to update my failure.
JK. Fingers crossed.
