Anyone Use Crystal Light Packets for Disney Water??

Just wondering if any one out there has used the crystal light travel packets to flavor the water at Disney? Does it cover the taste? Thanks Sandi

We used the packets - but we used it in a Dasani bottle of purchased water. I've heard that it does cover the taste - but I'm not too cool on Florida water (any water messes with my system) so I stick to bottled.

We have used the Wal-Mart brand ones on the last 2 trips. It works well especially if you get ice to add to your bottle. We usually have a wider mouth bottle so ice easily goes in. We like the lemonade and raspberry ice and I like the peach tea.

Yes, we've used them several times. Although if you go to Walmart they have their own brand of sugar free packets that are a bit cheaper and tast just as good or better then Crystal Light. We swear by those things because the water tastes so bad but they work really great in water bottles too when you get tired of plain old water.

We use them all the time, but we also purchase our water at Sam's Club. This saves us quite a bit of money over a weeks time. They also have sports drinks in the packet form now. I'm not sure as to the name, but I feel this would be better than just aspertaine.

I use them all the time since I discovered them. But I purchase bottled water. I am very sensitive to water and just won't take a chance on getting sick. I started using this because I cannot stand the taste of Coke and they don't offer any other cola products that are sugarfree. If I get an option to get to a store I buy Diet Rite or Pepsi or any other diet sota that suites me.

We use them all the time as well. Not to cover the taste but because the kids don't want to drink plain water. If it has flavoring in it, they drink it all the time.

I'm with Steamboat Marti (Must be our Monroe County water, we're not used to that FL stuff) The first few trips, we used koolaid & stuff to cover up the taste of the water & we got sick. We stopped drinking FL water & no more WDW Tummy Troubles. We use the Crystal Lite in bottled water if DS wants Tea instead of Coke, Poweraid or water.

I've found the packets to be just wonderful. I buy the Wal-mart brand ones also. Mixes it up a bit.

Just fyi for those (like me) who don't like to give their kids aspertane, Kool Aide and Country time have them in a non diet version now! My dd's like the Country time lemonade the best. Its pretty sweet so I use one packet for 2 bottles of water and my dd's love it.

I used them too....most places had no problem giving me free ice water and then I just added the powder, stirred with a straw and it tasted great....we like the coutry time lemonade best.

Never thought of doing this b/c I didn't realize you could get free ice water at counter service...it costs a fortune just in beverages for our family of five. We love the lemonade pkgs. and use them at WDW. But can you really just get a cup of free ice water? I guess the FLA heat gets to me and never thought about it You may have just saved my family a small bundle--thanks!

We've refilled our water bottles with Disney tap water and used the Crystal Lite packets and it does mask the taste. Having a couple ice cubes to keep it cool would be nice, but even warm it's not bad, and you're keeping hydrated. I personally can drink the disney water plain, but my kids won't, so those Crystal Lite packets are great to have along.

I just bought the Kool Aid ones at both Target and Meijer. The only thing is that the KA ones are for an 8 oz bottle you would have to use 2 for a regular sized water bottle.

I bought the Brita water bottles and now I am wondering if these will work with those. I guess I should break one out and try it before we leave!

Everyone in our family gets a fresh bottle of water in the morning. They drink it plain. They can use the packets to help hide the sulfur tasting water. It works.

ANY counter service that has the ability to give you a FREE glass of ice water must do so. The McDonalds French Fry Stand at AK, The Churro stand in Africa, all of those type stands. There was one food stand in Tommorowland that apologized for not being able to give me a glass of ice water, he said that if the water in the stand is not filtered then they are not permitted to give it to people. We have saved so much money by drinking water most of the day and only having soda as a treat. If you are sensitive to tap water you can by the Brita fill-n-go and just dump your glass of ice water into your Brita and it will get filtered.
