Anyone use a vacuum repair shop?

I my Electrolux. It's about 10 years old, and died last year. I've had a couple vacuums since, that SUCK!!! (pun intended ) Nothing compares to that Electrolux...

Should I try to have it repaired? Have you used a vacuum repair shop? How much did you spend to fix your vacuum? How much is too much?

I spent $150 to have an Oreck motor replaced. The vacuum isn't so hot but the lightweightness of it and the fact that it wasn't that old, convinced me to have it repaired. I probably would do it on an expensive vacuum again but not unless I really loved it.
