I am looking into getting one. I want to get the backpack that goes on it too. ANyone have one? Pro's/COn's???

Dont have one yet, but I am dying to get one for a Colorado trip (and to use at WDW next summer). I have heard wonderful things about them.

I have a Baby Trekker for my DD which is similar to an Ergo. It's nice and comfortable, but a lot of fabric in the heat.

Not sure if you are anywhere near Madison, WI, but since you are "WisconsinDisneyGirl", I thought that I would mention a really cool store in Madison that has a great selection of baby carriers. It's called Happy Bambino (www.happybambino.com). It's where we bought our Baby Trekker. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful!

I bought one of these second hand and it is amazing. I've tried lots and lots of them, and my son now almost 2.5 yrs fits just fine front and back. And he weights I'm sure about 30 lbs now if not more.

There is extra padding, but I find it so so so comfortable to wear him for longer times if I need to.

Tried the ergo, on the back because of his weight, and I just couldn't get him too comfortable (always felt like he was leaning back too much). This was not a problem with trekker.

Ergo great for front carrier style. Excellent customer service at www.ergobabycarrier.com !

I've heard nothing but great things about Ergo's. I really really want one. Baby Trekkers, Bjorns, Snugglis, etc. are not like Ergo's because Ergo's don't stress baby's hips and spine. The others do, and are not ergonomically sound. A baby sits in an Ergo, as opposed to hanging from its crotch in the others. Mei Tai's are good choice too for less money, if you don't mind tieing the straps yourself.

We have the original ergo and really like it. I use it all the time when we go out. I plan on taking it to florida in May to carry my 17mo old in lines and when he gets tired of the stroller. I used it on the long flight home from Korea when he was 6mos old it was great for pacing the airplane and treking through the airports. My only thought is that it could be hot. It is an awesome carrier my DS weighed 26lbs at 12 mo and I have no problems using it with him.

I bought mine a couple of months ago b/c my son (about 8 mos at the time) was too big for the Baby Bjorn. I love it! It took a while to get the hang of putting him on my back by myself, but I really like it now. Even my 2.5 yo DD likes to get in it. It isn't cheap (I think it was about $90), but it's worth it if you think you'll get a lot of use from it. I especially love grocery shopping with him on my back b/c I feel like I can get it done quicker- he isn't squirming in the basket. My Ergo is definitely coming on our DW trip in May!

HTH,
Amanda
