....you don't actually need to know anything about football.
We're doing this in work - all you need to do is predict the correct answer to the following ten questions. The person with the most correct answers at the end of the tournament wins. So....er....that's like most competitions then.
It's more fun that a sweepstake because there, if your team goes out in the first round, your interest is over. In this competition you still have an interest until the final ball is kicked - even if you hate football!
We're doing it for £1 a person in work, but obviously that won't work here - we would be competing for kudos only. If you are interested, please PM your answers before the tournament begins tomorrow afternoon.
Questions.....
(The first questions are about the last game!)
1) Which 2 teams do you think will be in the final?
2) Which team will win?
3) What will the score be in the final?
4) Which player will be the top scorer in the whole tournament (winner of the Golden Boot)?
5) How many games will be decided by penalty shoot-outs?
6) How many goals will England score in the whole tournament?
7) How many red cards will be given throughout the tournament?
8) Which 2 teams will be the losing semi-finalists?
(and 2 rather random questions to act as a sort of tie-breaker)
9) In the 4 matches to be held on 23 June, what will be the total number of yellow cards given?
10) In the 4 matches to be held on 25 June, what is the total number of goals that will be scored?
