Hello, we are planning to go in Feb. Always wanted to stay at the Poly BUT not sure we can swing it, if not then POR. One of the reason Poly or another deluxe like WL is attractive is the Kids clubs. If we stay at POR the only option is in-room baby sitting. We will be there for 7 nights so hubby an i would like to get out one evening on our own. We have 8 yr old twins so they are pretty self sufficient. What do you all think? Thanks for the help! :wave2:

You can still use the kids club at any resort. Just call and make a Res and you can drop off the kids. We have the kids go to the club and try difrent ones to see what that liked. Hope this helps you.

If we stay at POR would it be at all easy to get to the POLY to use the club there?? Is ther another moderate that may be more convienent? (sp)

None of the moderates have kids clubs. VWL, BC, Poly, BWV has them. I might be forgetting one....

Here's a link to the Childcare FAQ on Allearsnet.com

The deluxe resorts are the only ones that have kids clubs:
Animal Kingdom Lodge, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Poly, Wilderness lodge, & Yacht & Beach Club all have them. Swan & Dolphin (non-Disney resort in Epcot resort area) also has a kids club. See the link above for more info.

ETA: Here's a link to the driving distances page which might help you determine which places are closer to your resort: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/miles.htm

A lot of people from other resorts use the kids clubs. From POR to Poly, you could take the bus to MK and then the monorail.

It depends what you want to do that night. It would be a lot of traveling if you don't have a car and wanted to go to DTD.

We used in room child care twice - Fairy Godmothers - and loved them. It was a lot easy having them at our room already when we came back late. We had two rooms so the kids were asleep in one room and our nice sitter could relax in our room.
