Anyone try golf and NOT like it?

I haven't even tried it but I can tell you I wouldn't like it. #1) it's outside, and #2) it requires eye/hand coordination.

I enjoy when we drive the by courses at WDW. #1)I'm in an air conditioned car, and #2) When I get out of the car I'm in the MK:earsboy:

I hope everyone knows the #1 rule of taking up golf-don't let your spouse teach you! Many years ago, we went with another couple and each DH taught the other's DW to golf. So it was tolerable. But then after many years away from the game, I went with DH a few years ago, when he insisted I should go again. Well, we saw a huge black snake on the golf course and that was the end of my golf career. So DH is addicted to the game, less than 3 times a week and he gets edgy-there's no such thing as "too much golf" for him! But me-I'll just stay home from now on. A few years ago, he and DS went on one of these ridiculous [pardon my editorializing] golf vacations on the Robert Trent Jones trail in Alabama. You golf, drive to the next course, golf, sleep, go to the next course and golf, etc. I think they played 10 courses in that week. Thay loved it-I can't think of a worse form of torture. Couldn't believe they invited me-"No, thanks, dear. I'll just stay home and read all week." Ah, shucks!

Neither my husband and I golf. For reasons I won't get into we are pretty much forced to do it once a year in a social situation.

Bad things about it:
1) I stink at it
2) It takes too long
3) I really don't like games very much
4) the shoes are ugly
5) I stink at it

Good things about it:
There is usually a drink cart that comes around and I like the bloody marys!!!:drinking:
