Anyone tried to book Thanksgiving lately?

Just curious if all resorts are sold out for Thanksgiving Day?

I have checked the Reservation Board here, but was wondering if anyone else had recent info for their resort(s).

I booked BTL for Thanksgiving week the day ressies opened for owners, no problem.

Wasn't BLT just opened for reservations a couple of weeks ago?

I was hoping for more recent reports myself.

We're still in the home resort priority period, I booked at 11 months so I'm set.

Are you looking to do the 7 month switcheroo?

No, I'd actually like to do the "get into my own home resort" thing.

Short back story:
2008 we did Oct. (we usually do early Dec.) Plan was for early Dec 2009.

DS was on the high school swim team this year. Found out that if you miss any practices, aside from illness confirmed with dr. note, you aren't eligible to letter. Swim season starts Dec 1.

So, looked at options once we found this out ~ Feb 10 ~ and decided to move trip to Thanksgiving week.

We own at BCV and there were zero units of any size available on Nov 26 and Nov 27 - Thanksgiving Day and the day before...right smack in the middle.

So I'm waitlisted.

I'm just curious if there is any availability anywhere else or if I'm up a creek and have no prayer.


What do people think?

Will there be a lot of movement at 7 months?
Will people be trying out BLT and Kidani?


I'm just wondering if this will work out. If so, I get to be the one to tell my mother that I won't be bringing her only grandchildren to Thanksgiving. Won't that be fun?

But I'm not saying a word unless and until I actually have all the days.

Ah, the soap opera that I have to live in with this reservation...

I am curious too. I called a couple of weeks ago just for Thurs., Nov. 26. I wanted a standard view studio at BWV (that's where we own) and there were none available. She did offer me a pref. view 1-bedroom, so I think the stand. view and Boardwalk view 1 bedroom's were gone (not sure about 2-bedrooms). So I am on the waitlist for a stand. view studio. Since I want to preserve my points, I will try for a studio at OKW or a value studio at AKV at 7 months and remain on the waitlist for the stand. view studio at BWV...

I have a one bedroom right now at the BCV for nov 23rd through Nov 29th if I can i will switch at 7 month mark to BLT any view.

I called two weeks ago for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving leaving on the Monday after. My home resort is SSR and I asked for a studio, MS told me plenty of availability.

I might try to switch to OKW in order to save some points for our mega trip in June 2010 but if not I am happy to be "home" for Thanksgiving.
