Anyone tried the Ticket Electronic Will-Call, and other queries

Hola Universal lovers,

I'd like to buy the 5-day Universal pass they have on their website, and was wondering if anyone has tried the ceTicket Electronic Will Call to pick up their passes? Apparently, they have kiosks outside the park (which park? both parks? where? can you tell I've never been to US/IOA?), you punch in your confirmation number, slide thru the card you used to make the purchase and you get your passes. Was hoping someone could give me some insight into how smoothly this works - anything to eliminate the wait at the gate to buy tickets would help me!

Also wondering how many Express Passes you get with the 5-day pass? The way its been explained to me, the US system seems a bit more confusing than the Disney FastPass system, but I'm sure it's not all bad.

Oh, and please indulge me one more question - what kind of crowds can I expect the second week of February? We leave the parks that Friday, when President's Weekend kicks inn. I've got most of the Disney crowd patterns down, but I'm clueless on US/IOA.

I have a question to add to VolcanoJen's. Has anyone lost (or had to canceldue to possible misuse) the credit card that was used to order the tickets. If you get a replacement card, will it work the same or are you out of luck and get no ticket?

I'm interested in knowing this as well - I purchased the 5 day pass and chose to pick it up "will call" so hopefully there won't be a problem!

We ordered the 5 day Universal Pass for our trip last month. We had no problem picking them up using the electronic machines. It was easy, you swipe your credit card, punch in your confirmation number, and you recieve the tickets. It took maybe 30 seconds!They are located at the ticket gates at the entrance to both parks. There are several, but had a hard time finding them because of the mobs of people standing in line waiting to buy tickets. It would have made more sence to put them in a different area. It was convenient though, and boy was I glad to not have to stand in those awful lines! Don't forget to bring your credit card and your confirmation number with you to the park. You get a printed reciept when you finish. I would think if you did lose your card, you have the confirmation number from when you ordered the tickets to use as proof. Your credit card is billed immediately. As for the express passes, I'm not sure. We stayed on site so my key was my express pass.

i bought 4 online today- we are in orlando right now- and picked them up at the front gate through their electronic kiosk an hour later- no problems at all- everything went smooth

the parks were slow and some things were shut down but 3 kids had a blast- kinda a prelude to disney the next 2 weeks

Like Bogie in "Casablanca," you were misinformed.

IMHO, the Universal Express Pass System is not only much more extensive but superior to Disney's FASTPASS.

I can tell you what happens "when things go wrong"! I left the CC at home that I made the purchase with. I mistakenly thought we could recover using DH's CC (from the same account), but apparently the numbers are slightly different (AMEX)--so the kiosk did not work....

We had to go to guest services. We had to show positive ID and it took a few minutes for them to find us in the system and then issue the tickets. So, you are not totally out of luck, but it does take longer to get your tickets.
