I'm searching for new bags for DD & me for our May 09 trip. I know, I'm an early bird!:rolleyes1

I was on the Crocs.com site & saw their sling bag & backpack. I can't seem to find the dimensions, though. It's a lot of money in today's economy & I'd like to know a little more about them.

Anyone ever try one of these? If so, please give your candid review (i.e. size, ease of use on rides like do you need to remove the sling bag to ride the rides, etc.) If you have pics, those would be great, too!

Thanks so much!

I am sorry that I can't answer your question...

I did see these at the Croc kiosk the last time I was there, and the thought did cross my mind that it would be the perfect bag for Disney. :thumbsup2 I did not purchase it though, because I had already purchased 2 bags, and DH would not have handled a 3rd very well. :rotfl: I really wish I would have now... Hmmmm... We leave in 2 days, and I don't think I have time to hit the mall. If I do, I will let you know. :)

I looked at the site. If its the $9.99 sling bag, then it is very similar to my Nike bag. I use it for all of my Disney trips. I love it because DH can carry it part of the time. I got mine at a local dept. store. for $6

Oh, that's so great to hear! :thumbsup2 I've only seen the online version. It's been 6 months or more since I've been to our mall. :sad2: If you do get one, I'd love to hear your reviews!

I hope you have a FANTASTIC trip! 2 days - woo hoo!:dance3: Enjoy Halloween with the mouse!:goodvibes

That's good to hear. Wow! $6 is a great bargain...go you!

I'm thinking my DD would like the sling bag. She really hates waist packs, but can't bear the heft of a backpack & likes to have easy access to the contents. She'd also love to have something she doesn't have to take on/off for riding rides.

Thanks for the input!:goodvibes

The one I saw at the koisk was the $39.99 one... Not sure if we are talking about the same one...

I didn't make it to the mall today, and I know I won't be able to go tomorrow, so I won't be able to review for you... sorry. I really wanted to though.

DS and I both have a Crocs backpack.
DS is 12, and he is small for his age, but the backpack is pretty big for him. He does take it on the plane but he couldn't manage it in the parks - it is too big for that!
I bought mine with the intention of bringing it to WDW (for the plane, not the parks) but I ended up bringing my laptop and my Baggallini laptop case worked much better for that.
The backpack is tall and deep, so stuff that filters down to the bottom might be hard to get to. They are nice backpacks, I just wouldn't use it for the parks. They do fit under the seat on the plane just fine, so they are great for that.

I have seen the sling bags but I have never used one so I can't comment on that.

I had the messenger type bag but I ended up exchanging it for the backpack because it smelled HORRIBLE. Like mildew or something. I hung it up in the bathroom thinking maybe the steam from the shower would help it air out. Nope. Tried spraying it with Febreze. Nope. I finally took it back.

Thanks for the info on the backpack! :thumbsup2 I was afraid of that from the picture I could see on the website. I think I'll buy the sling bag & test it out. It looks more manageable.

We'll see....:goodvibes

I checked out the Crocs backpack a few weeks ago at one of those kiosks in the mall. It was cute and 50% off but I was very dissapointed that it didn't have any secure zippered areas where I could put cash or credit cards. Otherwise I would have bought it on the spot.

i have the sling bag but havent used it at Disney. I did however use it at this yrs ALCS in Boston. i found it very easy to use and it does have a side pocket of ids and such also a pocket for the cell phone. i was able to put in my camera scorebook and still have room for my souveniers. i think it would be a good bag to use at disney as you can have your arms and hands free. good to sick a bottle camera and poncho it and just take off

I just ordered the crocs sling bag yesterday from shoebuy.com for under $20 - I think it ended up being $17 something. Use the code "SAVE10" to save $10 and register when you are checking out to save an additional 10%.

They have free shipping and free return shipping so it is really a safe way to order something and try it out. If you totally hate it you can send it back with minimal hassel and no financial cost!

Ok, I think I've made up my mind to buy this one for my DD. Thanks for the review!:goodvibes

Wow! That does it. I'm definitely going to give this bag a try. I can't ever resist a a good deal or a good coupon code!::yes:: Thanks for the info, Celestia!

My wife has one and she really likes it

Thanks for the input, Rob. :flower3:

Ok, so I just ordered one from shoebuy (with coupon code & registering & free S/H, it came to $17.95). I can't wait to see how it looks in person!

I'll let you all know how DD likes it.:thumbsup2
