I guess the thread title says it all - Anyone there now (Feb 14) - Is El Pirata Y El Perico in MK open? We'll be there in 5 days and were wondering if we would be able to eat there...Thanks and hope you're having a great time!!!!!

I have never been there but how about the restaurant or counter service in Mexico in Epcot? Do they have tacos? Maybe not the kind you were hoping for, but I had to throw it out there.... <~ looks like me this morning

All of the times I have been to the MK at all different times of the year I have never seen this place open!!

Back in the fall, around the free dining offer, El Pirata Y El Perico changed their menu to a buffet serving ribs, baked beans, etc. I don't know if the buffet is a permanent change or if the MK needed another table service restaurant for the dining plan. We were there in January, and it was closed, so I guess it doesn't matter what they serve, since they are NEVER open. I too miss the tacos, they were good and a nice change of pace from burgers and hot dogs.
