Anyone taken a cordless hair curling tong?

DD wants to take her cordless curling tong with us, but I'm not sure whether we can take the energy packs on the plane. Has anyone taken the cordless tongs with them and did you have any problems?

DW took her Braun gas ones, but make sure you take some cartridges, since we could not find any in Orlando

I'm pretty certain that you are not allowed to take the gas cartridges onboard, even in checked baggage. I would contact the airline to be sure, though.

I had a look on the Virgin site and it does say no compressed gas, so I guess that would be a no! DD will just have to use the straighteners or we'll have to nip to Walmart for some curling tongs!
