Just wondering. I wasn't sure where to post this. I am leaving next Friday for WDW (Whoo-hooooo!) and I want to bring my camcorder. Can I put it on the belt thru security at the airport? Or how do I do this? I've never traveled with it before. With these new high-tech security screeners, I don't want to ruin my camcorder.

Thank you!

We took our camcorder with us in June. Just put it on the scanner belt and it ran through with no problems. Keep in mind that any camera film you carry should be in your carry on luggage and not in luggage you check in.

they have been to disney 12 times and we have never had a problem with it going through security......neither that nor our regular camera and also our film....or video tapes...

Your cam is videotape, not film, so you'll be fine (unless they drop it).

Everytime we've put our camcorder through lately, we've had to take it aside and they rub it the case with some sort of cloth. I'm not sure what that's all about. We've had it happen in both Tampa and Orlando.
It only takes a couple of minutes, so, it's been no big deal.
