Anyone stayed here ?

Never stayed there myself but it looks lovely :goodvibes Doesnt take long to get to the parks and if you can pay with Tesco deals all the better ;)

I've priced this one up to, but I'm still not sure about staying offsite :confused3
I'm going to hang on a little while in the hope that Tesco find a Tour Operator to replace all the DLRP ones they've lost in the last couple of years, it must one of the most popular deals. When we went in November we got talking to another 2 families - 1 group who'd also paid with deals, so that means at least 10 people on one coach paid for by Tesco - Leger will be sorely missed.

Sorry we've not stayed here but it does look nice. Im sure Ive heard it mentioned before though so dont knoww if someone else has stayed or just been thinking about it.

Thanks all

it looks ideal for us TBH :) and the reviews i've read have mostly been very positive :)

theres a pool which will please everyone! and as we are going with another couple ( plus our 2 sons) they can go into Paris while we go to disney on the 2nd day if they are all disneyed out by then :scared1: :rotfl:

*waves to jill* fancy seeing you here :)
we have never stayed ONsite ,so we wont be missing anything in that respect

in fact only been to DLRP twice and that was for day trips ! and stayed an hour away in Berney Riviere

so to have 2 full days and be this close to Disney will fab in comparison :goodvibes

Is this the Pierre et Vacances Apartments been renamed. Looks very like it.

We have stayed there. We had 2 apartments and they were bright, clean and very roomy. Close to the Val D'Europe, which I love to go to every night of our holiday for eating out.

oooh i dont know

that would explain why there are not very many reviews on it though!

ETA no,it looks like they are different http://www.frenchlife.co.uk/uce/fl?...peId=3&regionId=1988&sleeps=4&go.x=17&go.y=24

It must be the same place. The photos are the exact same. even the photo of the reception area is as I remember it. the rooms look exactly like they are in the photos. Have a look at the photos for the Pierre et vacances.

maureen

ETA the address is the same, 42 cours du Danube and 1 of the searches I found said it was part of the pierre et vacances group. So I think it must be the same place.

 how odd then, that they are listed as different places,on frenchlife ( see link i posted above) with 2 different names ?

Definitely Pierre & Vacances renamed or maybe even bought out by new chain.

We stayed there August 2005. We thought some of the paintwork was a litte tired but it was absolutely fine and certainly served our purpose of somewhere to sleep and eat breakfast.

We spent some time in Paris and at the sea life centre etc and so didnt want to pay for park tickets that weren't going to get used. It was our 3rd visit to DLRP and our first offsite. Previously we had stayed at Santa Fe and also Newport Bay.

We are a family of 5 - had a duplex apartment on the front which overlooked DLRP - we had a clear view of Newport Bay, tip of the castle and hence fireworks for nights not in the park, thunder mountain.

The bus service was not very regular so we actually walked to and from the parks - it took about 30 mins and that was with 3 kids in tow, DD was only 4 at the time.

I am looking at visiting again this August and maybe our first Xmas trip too and would definitely consider staying there again - just weighing up all my options - I have lots of Tesco vouchers and also enough airmiles to pay for completely free flights - you no longer have to pay airport taxes and all the days I'm looking at are available for miles only.

Just have to sort out best deals for accommodation and passes and then persuade DH.:cheer2:

Thanks eileds for the information, I had looked for it on Google Earth to see if it was within walking distance, it's obviously nearer to the park than I thought, it's hard to get a sense of perspective when you haven't been outside the resort itself.
The apartments look very nice though, even more attractive when I'm thinking that Tesco could pay for it. ;)

Hi RachieB :goodvibes

That's good to know. :thumbsup2 As I haven't yet been to Val d'Europe I wasn't sure how far it was from the parks and as all the brochures say it is too far to walk I just assumed it was!

Hi - have not posted for a while since not able to afford to do Disney again in near future, however have started collecting tescos vouchers in hope of using them to fund a trip in 2009. Very interested in this accomodation since we like to self cater.

Are you able to pay for centre parcs using the tescos vouchers aswell?- have not seen this on the tesco website. How does this compare pricewise with centre parcs in this country?

There is a French CP in the new French Life brochure, which is within travelling distance of DLRP, I've looked at it myself but I think I'm right in saying that RachieB has booked both the CP and the Adagio Apartments with Tesco Clubcard Deals so will have more info for you than I have. :)

Hi

Jill is right, both accomodations were booked with FrenchLife

this particular Center Parcs isnt on frenchlifes website yet, but it is in the new French Life brochure :)

it is cheaper than UK center parcs,as i find them VERY expensive in school holidays ! :(

we have used deals for the 2 accomodations and eurotunnel

HTH

:)
