We were looking at getting a family suite at the Anaheim Plaza hotel. Wanted to know if anyone had been, what their feedback was and how easy it is to get in and out of the park.
TIA

We (family of three with 10yo son) stayed there for 5 nights in June 2004. We didn't have any complaints about the place, but it wasn't anything spectacular. We spent so much time in the parks that we only used the room for sleeping, and it was fine for that. It is convenient to a Denny's and IHOP near the DLR entrance, so we used those for breakfast. It's a tiny bit of a hike to the entrance, but no problem for folks without mobility issues. You do have to cross a couple of busy intersections, but there are lights with crosswalks and long walk signals. All things considered, we'd stay there again.

I'm sorry but I do not have anything good to say about Anaheim Plaza Hotel.

We've stayed there twice. The first time we found the rooms to be not very clean. (smelly and mold in the shower). The second time was a disaster. When we arrived at the hotel, we checked in, dropped off our bags in the room and headed straight to the beach. While we were gone, they delivered our refrigerator (it was not standard in the room then). They did not bother to close the door. Yes, I know it sounds unbelievable. Once we made sure everything was still there I went to the front desk and they never even apologized. They did say if we had valuables, we should probably lock them up in the safe at the front desk. Yeah right, like I'd trust them at that point. Both times we stayed we left wake up calls. They never came. We nearly missed our flight the first time.

This happened several years ago (5 or 6) so maybe they've cleaned up there act. But I haven't been willing to try it again. If your looking for a family suite try Carousel Inn and Suites. They are actually closer to the entrance to the park, about a 5 minute walk. JMHO :)

I'll be there next week. I will try to post as soon as I get back. It was pretty cheap so we are not expecting much. Other hotels were all booked. I'll try to take pictures.
