Anyone Stayed At Holiday Inn Express & Suites Anaheim Resort Area?

As someone who has only ever stayed at Disneyland property hotels I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to take my 3 yr old daughter on a trip there Sunday through Tuesday. As of right now our stay is booked at this Holiday Inn for $123 per night plus the $15 parking. The reviews seem to be very positive with no crime or dirty rooms really an issue from guests like say the Best Western across the street.

Does anyone have any experience at this hotel? The walk doesn't look much farther than that of the Disneyland hotels to the gate. Are there other hotels around this same price point I should be looking at instead? We'll only be sleeping and maybe taking advantage of the breakfast so would rather save as much money as possible for experiences and things in the park than the hotel itself.

Stayed in August 2016 and will be staying again later this week. I usually have a boat load of IHG points so that factors into my decision. Even still, it would be a top off-site choice. It's relatively new. When we went it was clean, friendly staff in Hawaiian shirts.I believe it opened last spring/early summer. Your rate is pretty good, too. Breakfast is basic stuff like eggs, bacon/sausage, toast, bagels, cereal, juice, milk that you'll find at most HIEs. They also have a pancake machine that I liked.

Parking is valet only. Though the website may suggest otherwise - your chances of finding an empty spot is really low. The lot is tiny. Valet is the same price so just roll with it (tip excluded; and of course optional but expected).

It's close to IH-5, and our room (third floor) faced the freeway, but to be honest, I didn't find it noisy. I saw some people on yelp or tripadvisor said they felt it were noisy - I guess their hearing was more sensitive than mine! Haha!

Great feedback, thanks. I hate letting other people driving my car so sounds like I'll need to get over that for this trip :)

How long does it take you to get to the park entrances from the hotel? You can walk right?

I had a rental, so I didn't care. lol

From the hotel to security on Harbor...12-13 minutes tops. My fiancée operates on a slower pace than me, so I could probably pull it off in 10.

Thanks! Of course now the weather forecast shows rain on Sunday and Monday so that's concerning. I may change my dates now.
