Hey everyone! I just got a fantastic deal through ebay for 7 nights in a two bedroom villa at HGVC @ international drive for $520. I thought this was an extremely good deal because Hilton's website charges $279 for each night when i got 7 nights for less than the price of two. I was just wondering if anyone has been to the resort, and how they liked it. Negative or positive feedback would be appreciated. Also how are the activites? Is there a game room? And I hear they have something called swim at the movies where they have a movie screen by the main pool...what movies did they play? Thanks a bunch!

You got a great deal. It is fairly new and a wonderful resort. We had a nice stay there.

did you participate in any of the activities? And how many bedrooms was your suite? Thanks

We stayed there last year in a one bedroom. Our boys slept on the pullout couch. It was absolutely beautiful! We were near the smaller pool, but had an easy walk to the larger pool, where we mostly swam. The pool is gorgeous. There are enough sprays and fountains to keep children occupied. It is a huge pool so there is plenty of room to spread out. We went to the dive in at night. They were playing Curious George on a screen at the pool. My boys loved swimming and watching the movie. The biggest dilemna for my sons was having to take the googles on and off to swim and watch the movie! We really didn't do any of the activities because we were so busy, but it is a gorgeous resort! We loved having a washer/dryer in our room also. Enjoy!

I understand this is a time share hotel - is there any pressure to attend time share overviews or do you get left alone? Also just wondering if it truly is walking distance to the outlet mall? Thanks, Jo

Awesome deal! We are staying there this September, but I know a few people who have been there. They loved it! It is right next door to the outlet mall, definately walking distance. If you weren't planning on renting a car, you may want to. The shuttle to the park is not great. You will be asked to go to a timeshare presentation, but just decline and it is no problem I have been told. If you go to www.tripadvisor.com you can read a lot of reviews others have written. I am excited, it looks great!:dance3:

I stayed at the one by SeaWorld, and if this is like that one, they called once with their sales pitch and I said I wasn't interested and they didn't bother me again. I loved the SeaWorld one, and would have stayed there this coming trip but I got such a good deal on the Hilton Garden Inn.

The Int'l Drive one is very close to the outlets (IMO the better of the outlet malls), and walking there shouldn't be a problem, but you might need to cab or trolley it back depending on how much you buy.

We own a timeshare there, and have stayed 3 times; once with extended family in a 3 bedroom unit (one bedroom was actually a studio "lockout), and twice with a one bedroom for the four of us. Very roomy and well appointed. They have fun poolside "dive-in" movies several nights a week and lots of activities for kids. My sister-in-law had a poolside massage. The deli is good, sandwiches are generous and can be split easily. I think there is an activity list list on the HGVC website for that resort. Do not let them put you in the newest finished building which is right beside construction of the last building. The resort location is great, it is about 10 minutes to Downtown Disney and probably 15 or 20 to the Magic Kingdom (without heavy traffic). While you are there you may get a call asking if you are interested in attending a timeshare, just say no. If you do go through the timeshare presentation don't buy anything no matter what they offer you. You can get the same thing for thousands less by buying it resale. Wish we had known that :-)
