We are leaving on our trip on March 13th and will be staying at GKTW. My son was diagnosed w/leukemia in October and we were given this trip! He is doing great and really looking forward to it. Question.....has anyone else done this trip? What can we expect? Any tips???

THANKS!

Lisa - have your volunteers visited you yet? I know there is a Mom on this board who has actually gone. We will be there 13 days after you, and so, I can't help you. But I hope if you get back before then you can help me.

I am so glad to hear your son is doing great! As far as i can tell, you will be so happy, and have so much fun! Ice Cream any time of the day!!!!! That alone has my son excited! I will be thinking of you. (I do think wish kids get to the front of everything immediately.)

I looked at their website yesterday and it sure looks great.

I also contacted the local Make a Wish yesterday offering to volunteer. I love planning Disney trips and as an OT thought I could help.
I will be interested in hearing about your trips when you get back!

Several people who have gone to the GKTW village have psoted in the past. If you search for "Wish", you will probably find them. They have said it is even better than the web site looks, they got more personal, wonderful treatment than they could have imagined and their trip was magical.
Hope this helps and you all have a great time.∞
