Anyone stay at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel?

Looking for the good/bad/ugly as this will be a budget breaker for us but we're craving a few days to relax away from the hustle/bustle that will be the earlier part of our week in DL/DCA and enjoy sitting in hopeful peace and quiet hotel before returning to our normal chaotic "always on the go" lives back home. (We do plan on spending time to walk or uber around to check out local area attractions too for a few hours each day so we don't want to go too 'remote'.)

We will be staying there for 3 nights in two weeks after we do 3 nights at the DLH. I will report back after the trip.
