Anyone stay at Super 8 on Katella?

WE are taking our first trip to Disneyland this May. We are wanting to do the trip reasonably cheap being we just come back from wdw and cruise. So this trip was booked just for the heck of it. WE are booked at the super 8. Has anyone stayed here that could tell me what its like? How close is it in actuallity to the main entrance? Does the art system run close to this hotel? How safe is the area? Any other hotel suggestions would be appreciated.

we stayed at super 8 in november 2001, we were a family of 5 then. Two adults and 3 children aged 6 ,4, 2 .I had no complaints about the property but we were really squashed each night in the two double beds. And the walk was to far for the children, but not for an adult. On our final walk back to super 8 we promised ourselves that when we returned to disneyland we would only stay across the street. So this May we have booked at the park vue inn. I think you would be happy for the right price and if you dont mind walking..

i stayed there about two years ago and i will actually be there again in two weeks as the PP said the walk is a bit far for kids but not horrendous for adults (it was myself, my fiance, and my 17 year old sis on the last trip). it's good as long as you don't want to spend a lot of time in the room...personally i prefer the super 8 on disneyland drive but its a bit more expensive.

I've stayed at the Super 8 on Katella 10 years ago and it was absolutely great. The staff there were super. I'm heading out to DL again in May and I'm booked at the Super 8 again. I highly recomend it. The breakfast is not much but it will hold you until lunch. Hope that helps
