Anyone stay at SSR recently?

I am staying at SSR from 11th August for 17 nights with DH & DS(9). Just wondering what sort of activities they hae there in the summer. Do they still have movies at the pool at night. Any info would be great.

We were at WDW last month and visited SSR twice to visit the preview center. We also visited the Community Hall and did crafts and video games.

The recreation staff offers a full schedule of activities daily. Pool Parties are on Sunday and Wednesday and they offer the movies 3 days a week at the pool. When you check in you will receive a schedule for all the activities offered. I use a magnet and hang ours on the fridge

There is a sports court with Tennis, Basketball and Shuffle board. You can check out all equipment at Comm Hall. The movie rentals are also at CH.

CH has Gamecube, ping pong and foosball inside if it gets really hot. There is a mug station at the pool which is very close to CH. If its too hot for the pool, we hang out in CH and just run over to refill our mugs as needed.

I like the crafts, my boys enjoy the video games and ping pong and foosball. Lots of children there and its a nice way to socialize.

We just returned from SSR (July 5-10) and they had movies scheduled at the pool every evening that we were there. However, they may have been rained out.

There are only a couple of video game machines in the CH. There were poolside movies every night -- except I think they moved them into the CH when it rained. Some of the scheduled activities had a cost -- don't know how much, we never did any of them. Am going to try to post part of the schedule -- from my photobucket -- you may need to right click on it and paste the link so you can enlarge at photobucket (and still need a little imagination to read it).
There wasn't a charge to check out movies from the CH (selection kind of limited, tho).
