I was wondering if anyone has stayed here since the "5 mil. dollar Disney architect renovations" and could comment on them. I noticed they have a "preferred room" with a sofa bed and 2 queens that is larger. Has anyone stayed in this room? How's the kiddie pool, main pool, and playground? Thanks so much!

I really like this hotel and it may be the only hotel I stay at again. The rooms are very nice and all have balconies. For an extra fee I would suggest asking for a park view. The views are awesome. I was there in Sept 2003 and I could see fireworks from all the parks. In fact they were testing the new show at MK during that week and so I had a fireworks view every night. I don't have any problems with DTD transportation as it lets me ease into the day at the parks and allows me to relax before I get back to the hotel in the evening. I have always stayed in DTD. This hotel twice and Royal Plaza twice and Grosvenor once. However, I travel either alone or with another adult. The pool is nice but not themed in anyway. This place is very quiet and there is not alot done here geared to small children. If you are going to rely on the buses they provide and planning to spend alot of time at the pool I would think twice about staying here with small children unless you are like me and really enjoy getting away from the "Magic" for awhile each day. I really do like this hotel and would always recommend it to those on an adult only trip but I can see drawbacks to it for those with small children.
