Anyone seen Exp Everest Yeti? I guess its huge, scary and REAL!

I just watched Modern Marvels (Recorded) and the guy really talked up the EE Yeti. I dont really want to see until we are on the ride but was curious if anyone had yet?

I haven't seen the Yeti but i have seen the completed project of the mountain in person. I even saw the cars going and the ride getting tested. This ride is going to be awsome. I can't wait until the summer when I get to ride it!

Someone very, very close to me works the attraction and said the Yeti is "so cool!" Very large (about 15') and great animatronic action. The whole ride is great. (I won't ever know - you could not pay me enough to go on that thing! LOL)

I, along with just about half of the Annual Passholders and DVC members, will be riding it the last weekend in January for the previews. I'm sure there will be posts here about the experience.

I've seen the thing being slowly built and have waited for this day. To avoid it. I HATE roller coasters!!! But I gotta ride it.

Lucky. We are DVC also but have 3 trips set for 2006 already.

How will the lines be for that ride on a preview weekend like that? Is it a FP situation or just sit and wait it out?

What do you mean "sit" and wait it out?.
That would be "STAND" and wait it out

But the advacnce info says FP WILL be available for the preview.

:sigh: my family are both DVC and AP and I will not be there. Much to my dismay and dissapointment. I've been waiting for this ride and I've been watching them build it since the beginning. August won't get here soon enough.

We're going in late May. Can't wait to ride Everest. Although we are going to do Child Swap. My 9yr old daughter loves coasters; but the Yeti idea scares her. I would love for those who do the preview if they could let us know how scarey the Yeti is..

That's my situation exactly. My DD9 wants to ride too, but we need to know exactly what the Yeti is like. She plans to close her eyes, but if he's yelling and screaming too loudly, then I don't think she'll get on it. We are DVC members and actually tossed the idea of going down for a short vacation around, but decided against it. Just waiting patiently to hear the first reports. I will be PMing someone to get a full description so we don't ruin it for people who want to be surprised.
