Not much new. The travel expert did mention "Disney, Marriott and Hilton" as examples of how reputable companies with a stake in having great resorts are now in the business.

What was really odd -- At the end he mentioned how "Disney's Saratoga Resort & Spa that they built in New York was an example of how the timeshares are becoming real resorts. Then he said it sold-out in 6 days???!!! No wonder folks get confused about DVC!!! The "experts" still don't always get it.

No I missed it, was it last week? You'd think if a big chunk of your job was research, you'd actually do the research...go figure.

It was on this morning's Sunday Weekend Today Show.

I'll just say that I learned at a young age that Journalistic Integrity is an oxymoron.

Pam, I'm so glad you heard this too! I think I was half asleep eating my breakfast and I "thought" that was what he said! It seems like all the pictures they showed were of BWV while they were talking about SSR. I'm sure the sales people at DVC will be surprised to find out that they sold out a whole DVC resort in 6 days!!

Not an oxymoron for this Journalist. I happen to have tons of integrity. Oh, and my dad's a car salesman and so does he. :teeth:

If only Disney believed they had actually sold out SSR, maybe we'd find out what the next DVC resort really will be . We could use this misinformation to our advantage. HAHA

Does anyone know what the name of the "travel expert" on that episode is? Just thought I should make a note of their name so that if I ever see them doing a report or read a travel article written by them, I'll be wary of the info reported. :sad2:

I'll see if I can find it. It's their "regular" guy -- probably in his 50's with a beard and glasses.

DH and I saw it too. We laughed when he said NEW YORK!! Peter something is his name. I used to think he was pretty credilble until this goof up!

His name is Peter Greenberg and he's a well-respected travel expert. See Bio

I'm not sure what the story was yesterday -- it was pretty much an old news, fluff piece and then they stuck that SSR nonsense on the end. Maybe they had to throw something together yesterday morning and didn't check facts?
