Anyone see this review of Aulani on TRIPADVISOR?

That is terrible, how did it just happen out of nowhere?
My advice on things like this is...Don't believe everything you read. A single post by a "drive by poster" loses weight in my eyes.

In my opinion, the possibility that this is a legit review is about 0%. Keep in mind -- the Aulani resort is a big deal to the people who live on Oahu. Plus, it is Disney after all. If something of this nature had actually ocurred, it would have been all over the loca media, and and very possibly the national media as well. This one anonymous review seems to bee the only source of this "news."

I am not buying this, at all.

Totally agree, in the age of social media you really think an incident like this wouldn't have been "seen" by someone at the pool as it said that's where it happened or even caught by local media.

I also still go back to my original thought that i find it hard to believe that this attack wouldn't have bene stopped by someone there. As I mentioned, I have been to Aulani and the pool area no matter what time of year has plenty of DIsney people around, not to mention there had to have been others at the pool that i hope would have tried to stop it.

When I write a review of a hotel or resort on Trip Advisor (and I've done quite a few), I try to educate the rest of the posters on what really happens at the resort. I just wrote one from BLT yesterday and gave all the details about housekeeping services with and without DVC reservations, entrance to the TOTWL, etc. They tend to be rather long, but educational. I've gotten a few helpful notations.

I don't believe it at all but we were there in November and there is no gate to the pool area, you walk up the path (ramp near construction at hot tubs) and enter the pool deck. You can also enter the pool area through the resort and there is no gate or key check to enter, anyone can walk through.

I feel that this is way bogus. I live on Oahu and this would have made news. There were no reports about something like this. Also people who live in Hawaii are fairly mellow. You would have to provoke this kind of response.
