Anyone see the new additions to Stitch?

I was reading that some new effects and sounds have been added to SGE. See as follows:

The refurbishment of the right-hand chamber of Stitch's Great Escape has been completed, and guests are now using that chamber (which exits through the reopened Merchant of Venus shop) while the left-hand chamber receives its own refurbishment. The "enhanced" show is largely the same as the old show, but with some new audio clips, a few other effects and a new ending.

There are now kid voices talking about Stitch to try to make the kids less afraid during the darkness, saying things like "Look, Mommy! It's Stitch!" and "Man, he's fast!" The new ending, which is reportedly not quite as abrupt as the original, features Stitch visiting Cinderella Castle.

Anyone see it this last week?

We saw it last week. Yes, there were voices of kids being played back. I hadn't even thought of the reason. We saw stitch, via video, perched on the castle.

It's really quite well done.

Even though the redo is much better, I've never liked Stitch... My 3 year old had a much better time visiting the ride, thanks again Walt Disney!

i went on this last august i remember at some parts stitch "burps" and it starts to smell....i was wondering if he still does this because i remember this smell was disgusting and i smelt that the rest of the day and it made me sick!!!! just wondering

Just got back yesterday, and we did Stitch.

He does burp and it does smell nasty.

I did not like the ride, and if I had to wait in line for any length of time, I would have been very upset. I thought it was crap.

I also thought this was a very disappointing ride. It was not good before and this new version is no better. They need to tear it out and start over.

I hate the idea of Stitch period! And defacing Cinderella's castle was the most moronic act, ever committed by Disney, ugh! I bet the only reason he still has fans is because of our little ones, but if DS 3YO is happy, I guess I have to be.

Look at it this way.... at least the one in the ride isn't possessed.

Zing!

I thought Stitch "decorating" the castle was pure genius. My duaghter wasn't very happy though.

I guess you either love stitch or hate him. My 16 yo DS and I really enjoyed the movie (although he wouldn't admit that to his friends). I love Stitch and can't wait to see this attraction in November.

I love the fact that although Lilo is a little girl, both my nephews, ages 6 and 9, love this movie!!! They hate the princess movies and girls in general (it's the age) but love "Lilo and Stitch". The built in "gross factor" draws them in but having a little girl as Stitch's best friend seals the deal. Disney's movies have an incredible way of teaching kindness and tolerance without cramming it down your kid's throat! They haven't been on the ride either but are exited to go on it on their next trip down. ::MickeyMo

We enjoyed Stitch. We went on it twice when we were there 3/5 to 3/13. I'm not sure what everyone was expecting but we liked better the AE.

Ive always wondered about the people that always complain when an attraction such as Stitch is redone or updated. If this ride was never updated, you would still be watching the lo tech Mission to Mars.

I haven't seen the ride yet-- but I will in June. I'm not expecting a lot. I do like Stitch, but I'm keeping my expectations for SGE low, so maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. :)

we went to stitch on Thursday afternoon it was cute and used fast pass but I sure wouldn't stand in the stand by line for 1 hr and 40 minutes to see. My grandughter had to see this one and she really enjoyed it at age 13, but anything stitch would be the high light of her day. the smell was a bit strong but it did go away quickly.

My son loves Stitch and we all thought the show was cute. I think you have to form your own opinion. If you like or love Stitch or your kid's do, you should see it. If not, skip it. The smell is not that strong and I defintiely did not "smell it all day". I think this ride is getting a bad rap and a lot of undeserved bashing. It is not supposed to be the be all end all of disney rides, just a family friendly version of something similar to AE and I think they accomplished that.

Just back last week. I saw the new Stitch and the changes have helped. It is a cute ride. The chilidog burp was a good addition.

This ride is cute but not great. I enjoyed it and so did my 18 year old DD.

I completely agree, especially about the burp! I was expecting so much worse after what's been posted here. My kids (8g, 6b) really enjoyed it and we did it twice.
