My friend and her family just got back from 4 days at DL. She said Oprah was in the parks yesterday with her first grade class "Wildest Dreams" winners. She was able to get a glimpse of Oprah and the class posing with their golden ears on. They shut down some attractions for a period of time and rescheduled parades for her. Can't wait to see it on the Oprah show! :earsgirl:

Didn't see Oprah but saw the kids. They had most of Main Street closed for a long time while they set up for the filming of the kids walking down main street towards the castle. Then the Disney cast of characters came out and did a quick show in front of the castle. Fantasyland was completely closed (the sign said from 10 - 11 but it was longer than that) to allow the kids to ride these rides without the crowds or looky looes. Once that was over everything was unblocked and you would have never known they were there. Not sure what happened after that as we didn't see any signs of the kids or Oprah after that. Interesting, a bit inconvient for the guests but emotional when the kids walked down Main Street.

We just got back yesterday & we saw Oprah on Friday.
They had Fantasyland closed for a while & the afternoon parade was at 1:00 o'clock.

I never saw Oprah after she first arrived with the kids. Although I did see a couple group of the kids walking around with Disney tour guides, but no Oprah in sight. I am sure she was already gone for the day.

Anyone know when they will have the kids on Oprahs TV show? I would like to see that one.

shows like gives me the fuzzy wuzzies and make me tear up. i am definitely watching it!

Darn, What days were they there??? We were there on Mon-Wed., I would have been soooooo excited if I saw her while I was there.

I was "sick" when I saw that Oprah show. I sent the same letter to Oprah - teacher in disadvantage area, I'd like to see the kids happy blah blah blah!! :teacher: She didn't pick my letter and I am a little salty! What makes it so bad - my kids reminded me every Monday to send out a new letter - they were hoping too!!! Oh well, guess it wasn't in the cards for me!!! I need a hug :grouphug:!!! Maybe next year!!!
