As I could book my seats from Tuesday tonight was the first chance I had chance to go on the site .As there are the 3 of us and not wanting a four I have booked row 62 at the back. All of the sets of 3 rows were available .I originally booked the one directly where it tailors off from the 4 row 61 but looked on seat guru and said it had draw backs:confused3. Just wondered if anyone had ever sat in these seats.

Could not book the return but presume that is because we have to book 90 days from return date.:thumbsup2

We sat on the very back row in a two. Apart from the obvious drawback of being the last off the plane and close to the toilets the one drawback I could see is the first row of three isn't directly behind the seats in front which is a setback tv issue!

Hopefully this pic will work (never tried from my iPad!)

Thanks for the picture. Will leave it at row 62 as it looks like 61 has restricted view with the seat back tv.

pro of seating at the back : you board first and have room in the overhead bins

cons : you get off the plane last, you're close to the lavatories and can get crowded by people waiting for their turn, and you feel every turbulence as it's the place where the plane shakes the most (farthest from the center of gravity)

I don't like 4s either, but I'd rather share my row with a perfect stranger, than being stuck at the back of the plane (motion sickness is one of my reasons)

Did you weigh this in your decision ?

Yes I did. Have sat at the back many times and dont suffer with motion sickness but am a very nervous flyer. Its my DB first trip and we all wanted to sit together. I looked at the three at the back on our return flight in 2011 and it was mainly the last 2 rows both on the twos and the threes that seemed blocked at times by toilet queues. I am not one of these people who rushes to get off the plane so being last off does not matter to us. We are on holiday and although important to some people we are quite relaxed about the whole immigration thing and expect a long wait.
Thanks for the advice though. There are a lot of seats available still so the alternative would be a 2 and a one on the end of a four. Quite happy though.
Coming back in a 747 so at least there will hopefully be some 3's available. Normally sit on the left side of the plane( HJK). Dont know why but always feel safer

We sat on row 62 both going and coming back last Easter. No problems at all apart from being the last to be served a meal. People queueing for the toilet wasn't an issue and I found I didn't feel as bad reclining my seat as I do when someone is behind me (it may have been my imagination but the seats did seem to recline more as well). We are heading out again in July and I will be opting for the back row again if it's free!
