and gotten them? We requested last time but didn't get them. We'll be staying at POFQ and since I'm sure my irls will wanna go back and forth between rooms it would be great to get them. We have connecting rooms on the Wonder so we really want them at the resort too. Any tips of stuff to do to have a better chance?

Guarantees can only be made for medical reasons and that also has some reported gray areas. I don't see why they would guarantee connecting rooms if you had at least 2 adults on the reservation. It's obviously not what you're looking for, but one adult can be in each room.

My experience with requests, is that they seem to have more options available the earlier you check-in.

We were at CBR in April this year. Two adults, 3 kids, and when I requested connecting rooms, the CM guaranteed it because of the adult/kid ratio. When we arrived, we got exactly what we had asked for, and the CM at the Custom House told us the same thing. No problems here.

We had them last time we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. I faxed a request over a few days before our trip asking if we could have connecting rooms. It seemed to work.

We just received connecting rooms at POR with no problem. We had teens in one room - one was 18.

We received connecting rooms at WL too! Our ressie said guaranteed even though we had 4 adults and 2 kids. Must have had a nice CM!

Just to clarify my situation. We are 3 adults and 3 kids. Technically, the first room is myself, Dh our 3 y/o and 1 y/o. The 2nd room is my mother and my (will be) 9 y/o. I know the kids are gonna wanna go back and forth or we might wanna use each others bathrooms or something. It's not a big deal, just wondering if anyone has gotten them when they were requested. They told us at ressie time that they can't guarantee it so I knew that. On the ship, howver, we definitely have connecting rooms.

We had connecting non-smoking rooms at FQ last Spring. I requested it when I made the reservation and they were no problems when we got there. :goodvibes

We've faxed in our request to both POR and POFQ the last three visits and have had connecting rooms each time. I guess it depends on when you are going and how busy they are but we've never had any problems with receiving requests.

Good to know, last time we were staying at ASMo so maybe POFQ is better with request than they are. Hopefully.

I have requested connecting rooms 5 times at 4 different resorts and have always gotten them. In all cases, we had 3 adults (my mother had her own room) and 2 kids under 10 years. I even got connecting rooms last year at AKL during Christmas week! (I was surprised at getting that one!)

I think they always do their best to accomodate requests. When my mom isn't along, we request bunk beds at WL or AKL and have always gotten them as well.

If you aren't too piggy about your requests (ie your only request is connecting rooms), you probably have a good chance of getting it. The more crowded the hotel is, the less likely you are to get the request. If you are going when the hotel is not full, you have a pretty good chance of getting what you want. Just make sure it is in your reservation record.

Every request we have ever made has been accomodated.

We were told we had connecting rooms because of the age of our kids-three under15. I questioned my TA a couple times to make sure.

We are a family of 3 Adults and 2 Kids. We booked 2 rooms and our reservation says "Guaranteed Connecting Rooms".

Despite making the request through AAA, the central reservations phone # AND faxing the request five days ahead we did not get connecting rooms with g'ma and g'pa for CR last week. I think a lot of it has to do with how you are booked -i.e. as one family on one credit card or seperately like one room for us and one for DGma and DGpa. With a 14 mo old that doesn't nap with anyone in the room I really wanted a connecting room. Luckily I was able to switch with one of my brothers and have a connecting room with another brother.

They try, but if the resort is really full sometimes they just do not have any empty connecting rooms to give and they can't make someone move.

We requested connecting at AKL for our Dec. '04 stay so that we could help DD with DGD age 11 months (hubby couldn't come along). We did not get connecting but had other issues with the rooms so asked to be moved. After much insisting on our part that we get what we reserved, they finally agreed to move us and we did get connecting at that point.

That's what I was thinking. Ours is booked as 2 rooms meaning we got 2 seperate confirmation #'s , but were all paid for with my CC. And just to complicate matters even more(gotta keep em on their toes), We have 1 day hotel only ressie b4 our land & sea package starts. Well, if I have to call them once a week from now until October 15 then I will.

We've requested NOT to have connecting rooms and got them! :rotfl: We were traveling with MIL/FIL and really wanted different floors. Alas, there we were in each other's laps for a whole week! Aughhhh! :teeth:

Got 'em at the Poly last October. All we did was make a request when we booked and a few days before we arrived..
